Vintage Subway Cars on Track for Yankees Opening Day in The Bronx

first_imgNEW YORK — Some riders using New York City’s subway system to get to Yankee Stadium for Opening Day are also going to get a trip back in time.The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says a four-car “Nostalgia Special” is scheduled to leave Grand Central Terminal at 11:30 a.m. Monday and run non-stop to the stadium in the Bronx.The cars will be 1917 Lo-V models, which were used by the subway system until the late 1960s.
