MS Dhoni orchestrates Spain vs Argentina soccer game in Harare

first_imgWith the Euro 2016 gradually gaining momentum, football fans across the world are leaving no stone unturned to support their favourite team in the 24-nation European Championship. And it seems even Team India are not left untouched by the madness.After thrashing Zimbabwe 3-0 in the ODI series, Indian players, led by skipper MS Dhoni, decided to have a game of soccer. Not on the field though. Venue was Dhoni’s hotel room in Harare and the intense, hard-fought game was played on a playstation, one of Dhoni’s most prized possessions on foreign tours. Mandeep Singh, Jaydev Unadkat and Karun Nair joined their skipper while Axar Patel, it seems, decided to play the referee.With not much to do in Harare on non-match days, Dhoni and his men have been spending time either in the gym or in their rooms, playing games on playstation. (Dhoni flexes his muscles after crushing Zimbabwe)The short tour of Zimbabwe has provided Indian skipper, who has always got a big thumbs-up for his leadership and team-building skills, a good opportunity to bond with the generation next of Indian cricket.  After a match-winning performance in the second ODI, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal heaped praise on a “friend-like-skipper” describing him as “a very simple person.”A few days ago, pacer Jaydev Unadkat also posted a picture of “a down-to-earth” dinner with teammates. In the photo, almost the entire team including Unadkat, KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Yuzvendra Chahal, Manish Pandey, Mandeep Singh, Rishi Dhawan posed for a selfie while having dinner with Dhoni on the floor of their hotel room.
